Q: What is the focus of the Youth department?

A: The MMFs Youth Department works diligently to respond to the needs and aspirations of Métis youth.  Awareness of political, social, and economic barriers, youth can work towards overcoming obstacles and reaching their life goals.

Through funding, the Youth Department provides a large range of activities from local youth / drop-in centre oprations, to promotion of cultural activities, such as fiddling lessons.  It also acts to support youth employment or career related projects such as summer employment, and internships.

The following are programs available through this deparment;

UMAC Fiddling
Sept - March
Ages: 8-29

UMAC Jigging
Sept - March
Ages: 8-29

Sports Recreation & Wellness
Seasonal Sports
Local Sports such as Hockey, Skating, Basketball, Curling, Simonhouse Bible Camp, Baseball, Soccer, etc..
